Welcome to Cutting Edge Bullets, a manufacturer of premium solid copper match grade projectiles. The main goal of Cutting Edge Bullets is to provide a single projectile that performs as well in the field as it does on the range. This simple concept used in our MTH Series (Match/Tactical/Hunting), combines the accuracy and high Ballistic Coefficient (BC) of match/tactical grade bullets with a bullet that has outstanding terminal performance. We believe that there does not need to be a trade off when it comes to having a very accurate, flat shooting bullet, or one that puts game on the ground quickly. For those preferring solid pointed bullets, our MTAC series (Match/Tactical), provides individuals with a solid copper bullet guaranteed to have a maximum weight deviation of .2 grains eliminating weighing and pointing operations.

Our bullets are for the hunter or match shooter that insists on the highest quality bullet available. All of our bullets are precisely machined with the Ogive radius, Ogive length, body length, boat tail angle and boat tail length held to the tightest tolerance achievable by any manufacturing method. Our unique, patent pending, Seal Tite Band eliminates "fliers" typically associated with other solid copper bullets making them ideal for long range match shooting.

At our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility we use sliding headstock CNC Swiss Style Lathes, machines that are known for their accuracy, speed, and precision. No other machine in the world is better than these to machine solid copper bullets. The monolithic construction of our bullets eliminates inherent problems found with jacketed bullets. A few of the main reasons our bullets are superior to others on the market are:

Swaged bullets may have varying jacket thickness which results in gyroscopic instability. Some match shooters invest time and resources into measuring this thickness to find a group that have a consistent jacket thickness. Our bullets eliminate this problem because the bullets are precisely machined resulting in each bullet being identical and true on its axis.
Concentricity between the bullet body and the boat tail is much more difficult to maintain with swaged bullets versus our bullets with everything being machined perfectly true.
Swaged bullets can also have the problem of jacket separation with some jacketed match bullets. There have been cases, especially if someone tries to shoot a swaged bullet too fast, where they separate in mid flight and disintegrate before reaching the target. Also, chances are that, if you have killed enough game, you have come across a jacket in the animal without lead in it. Once separation occurs there is nothing to protect the lead and it can then pulverize into tiny pieces.
Meplat diameters are inconsistent and ragged on Swaged hollow point bullets. Our Meplat, or nose tip diameters, are always the same perfectly round shape and flat on the end with bullet over all length precisely maintained. The hollow point is inspected to ensure it is precisely on the centerline of the bullet every time.
Our bullets are produced from an environmentally friendly 99.5% pure copper alloy that does not contaminate the environment or the meat that you will be eating.

Also, unlike traditional CNC lathes, with CNC Swiss Style lathes the material does not hang out of the spindle while it is being machined which can cause deflection and inaccuracies. With sliding headstock Swiss style lathes the bar stock is fed through a precision revolving carbide guide bushing and past the cutting tool which is within .030” of the bushing which eliminates all deflection. This allows precision cutting in one cut rather than multiple passes to ensure deflection is eliminated.

Due to our ability to easily modify a bullet, we will offer customized bullets to each persons specifications in the future. Please see our "technical section" to see what features we can modify to your specific needs. Some features that can be customized include, Driving Band length, Driving Band diameter, and the bullet projection length which is done by re-positioning the Seal Tite Band. This will allow individuals that know their exact chamber dimensions to customize a bullet to their liking. All features critical to bullet flight cannot be customized such as Ogive configuration, Boattail configuration, Seal Tite Band configuration, or Meplat design.

Although we may not offer every caliber bullet for sale at the moment, we will never put a bullet on the market that has not been thoroughly tested and proven to be the best available bullet you can buy. We are continually developing different bullets and will always welcome your feedback, whether it is positive or negative. We will eventually offer a complete line of bullets from .50 caliber down to .17 caliber including flat base and solid dangerous game bullets.
