This week we are featuring out .458 260gr Maximus bullet. This bullet is perfect for the .458 SOCOM and for a reduced recoil, high velocity load in any .458 caliber rifle. The concept of this bullet design was to create a line with not only superior terminal performance, but also an exceptional BC. This line is a hybrid of our MTH High BC bullets and our Raptor bullets.
Just like the rest of our MAXIMUS line, after 1-2” of penetration, you get 4
blades that break off and radiate outward in a star pattern while the base continues. They take after our MTH line (high bc) by also featuring our patented SealTite™ band which is a band slightly larger than caliber diameter around the center of the bullet. This band creates a complete seal around the bullet as it exits the barrel which increases accuracy and decreases fliers. The SealTite Band also decreases copper fouling typically found in conventional mono metal bullets.
